The action of Maryna Hrymych's novel "Klavka" takes place in the Writers' Union of Ukraine and in the Kyiv Writers' House ROLIT in 1947, when the infamous Plenum took place, known in history for the destruction of Ukrainian literature, in particular, the lynching of Yuriy Yanovskyi and Maksym Rylskyi.
